Fall

Fall season also known as autumn has finally arrived.  Aside from summer being my favorite time of the  year I also enjoy the fall because the temperatures are not too high or too low.  The days cool down, the leaves turn different shades of orange, red and browns, and everyone starts to get ready for the coldest season of all, Winter.  During the fall everything smells fresh and brisk and all the children are excited about jumping in the fallen leaves that make the crackling noise as they run and play  Children get to go pumpkin picking as they enjoy the outdoors and see the beautiful colors of fall..  I love the feeling of a cool breeze in the early morning wearing jeans, a cozy sweater, and drinking my warm delicious coffee.  Fall is also a time where families come together to share laughs as they enjoy hot chocolates, baking, and warm soups.  What more could we ask for?

My Summer Vacation 2011!

This past summer my family and I traveled to the Dominican Republic.  It was an unforgettable trip.   To explain the significance of this trip I will start by telling you that counting family and friends there were over 200 people from our small town that traveled for the special event that was going to take place.  Throughout the year we all work together to help our loved ones back home as well as the entire community.  We have a small organization where each member donates money in order to get things done.  We especially help out the children and the school which they attend.  So far, with everything we have raised we improved the towns cemetery, church, built a new school, and this summer we donated all the school supplies to every student in town.  It feels great to be helping those that are really in need and live in poverty.
Therefore this summer we decided that it was time to celebrate and all get together for all the help that we have been giving to the community.  In the beginning of August we held a party for all of those living there as well as for those that had traveled from the States.  There were over 700 people that attended.  It was great to see everyone united and having a good time.   People that had never gone back to visit and they finally did for this special event.  Everyone was able to see old faces as well as see new ones.  It was an event that brought everyone together and it will always be a day to remember.
